Toon Disney makes me rage. Why won't they put Hercules back on? Or Tarzan? Disney has become nothing more than shows with bad plots and kids with lame acting.

Though, Pucca is alright. Better than most, but that's not saying much.

Never heard of it. And I can't say that it looks appealing at all from your description.

Golden Rule of people talking about their childhood #3: "They will always regard shows shown in their childhood as better than shows nowadays."

I attribute that to the fact that all kids shows are retarded, but you're only old enough to know that now.

Would the show be nearly as sucsessful if the gender roles were reversed?

Probably not, for the simple reason that its the kind of show that appeals more to young girls, so having a male protagonist wouldn't work so well.
But as for it being creepy? Not... really, no, it wouldn't affect much. Nobody said cartoons Doug or Crazy For Daisy were made creepy that way.

I think Flapjack is a little gross. Chowder's okay. Those Canadian Imports they're getting (No offense to canadians, I'm sure you guys can make good cartoons, I mean, aren't you the ones who made Ed Edd and Eddy?) are total crap. The people they're getting them from... just... urk.

Uh, Flapjack? Derp.

Pucca is really popular around here in the way of stationary and school stuff, but I have never seen it. I thought it was some kind of Hello Kitty style thing (I'm aware that HK is a cartoon too).

I like Pitt and Kantrop.

Yeah, see. This is where personal opinion starts influencing objectivity, or in this case, the lack thereof.

And this from a man of science. Ye Gods, man.

shush you, you always have it out for me

Well, I recognize that childrens' shows from the generation previous to mine were awesome. Not so much the current generation. I'm sure lots of people my age feel that way.

(Forgive my argument based on generalization, but that's the best I've got short-notice)
