Why did you join AZ's forum?

I joined the forum because of this comic. It's the first one that directly says "The Forum" in the comment.

I was like, "Oh wow, a forum! I should join derpderp." I jumped right in.

Looking back now, that was kind of dumb. Before I joined, I had bodaciously no experience with forums. I've been to forums on Gaia, but I don't think that counts.

Need a forum to lurk on, it seemed like the topics here were genuine and good and not just new spam every 5 seconds. I was a forum go-er awhile ago back in my youth on the Cittagazze forums (now on the website, hisdarkmaterials.org) about the His Dark Materials trilogy, those were the days. I was a member of that forum before it became huge.

The forum actually scared me for a few days after joining, but it has helped me thicken my skin, per se.

I told Katie she needed a forum and she got mad at me because I was the fifteen-billionth person to tell her that. Then I looked back at the website a while later and saw the forum and saw there were like fifty members registered already. Then I joined, spent a few months being a faggot, left, came back, and here I am.

I followed the webcomic, got curious about the forum, and did some 'sploring. As I entered General Shenanigans, I noticed that there was a thread titled, "You laugh, you lose." Recognizing that phrase immediately, I looked around a bit, got a feel for the place, believing the forum to be, in all likeliness, a better, more intelligent /b/. (That was when I still frequented /b/). I figured that it would still retain /b/'s humor without compromising the element of stabilization and order that forums introduce through their lack of forced anonymity.

Only later would I learn that I was completely wrong in my presumption that it would be "better, more intelligent, and stable."
