Water, you seem like the kinda guy who would appreciate some Of Montreal. Go get their album Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer?
Actually, I completely forgot to mention them because I haven't listened to them in a while. My favorite albums are Hissing Fauna and The Sunlandic Twins. I just don't actually own any of their CDs, I just subscribe to Rhapsody. And now I'm going to go listen to them again, thank you.

(The weird part was, I totally saw you mention Of Montreal in your post, but I just forgot to put them down.)

Here's a challenge for you indie kids:

Pick out which artist from the Billboard Top 10 is your favorite of the bunch. For some of you, this will be picking out which artist sucks the least. For a few others, it may be nearly impossible.

(It's too late t'apologize for the double post.)

They Might Be Giants and Weird Al make up half of my music collection.

To a lesser extent there's Green Day, The Arrogant Worms, The Beatles, The Offspring, and a bunch of bands that I have like one or two songs from that I won't list here.

It's mostly 80s punk, older black & death metal, folk and classical on my end, occasionally some classic rock and east coast rap too. Please never discuss music with me as I'm horribly elitist and hate most of the music you guys like. Especially melodic death metal and wanky "prog" metal shit like Dream Theater or Symphony X. When I say I like a band it usually means I like a few albums by them - usually their earlier output.

At the Gates, Atheist, Bad Brains, Bathory, Big Black, Black Flag, Burzum, Crass, Cryptopsy, Cynic, Demilich, Discharge, Emperor, Enslaved, Gorguts, Hüsker Dü, Immolation, Immortal, Incantation, Kreator, mewithoutYou, Minor Threat, Minutemen, Misfits, Morbid Angel, Operation Ivy, Orchid, Rites of Spring, Sacramentum, Sepultura, Stiff Little Fingers, Suffocation, Summoning, X, !T.O.O.H.!.

As for nerd/fantasy type stuff, I gotta say Rhapsody (now 'Rhapsody of Fire') and Luca Turilli (an offshoot of the former).

And just for the lulz, Group X.
