Just a question : Day and Night segment lasts each for a set amount of time, or until everybody has acted ? (I guess it must sound like a dumb questio to those who already know it, but it's not clearly said - or maybe I'm just bad at reading)

It's not a dumb question at all! There's quite a few rules to Mafia, and it's a little tough to remember them all, much less explain them, so please feel free to ask questions!

Normally Day segments last until there's a majority vote to lynch someone or not to lynch anyone. However, if no vote is reached by one real-time week, it's an automatic no lynch. Also, in this game in particular, we also have to wait for the Joker Bomb to explode daily.

Night segments last until the Mafia decides who to kill and everyone sends me their Night Action, if they have one.

Speaking of Night Actions, I apologize, but in keeping in line with my reputation as the worst GM ever, I need to make another amendment to the Joker(Anarchist) role. I misread the page I was reading on how the Anarchist works, and got confused as a result. The Joker can only GIVE a Joker Bomb at Night. However, any player with a Joker Bomb in their possession can PM me and PASS the bomb to anyone during the Day. The Joker can choose to give himself his own bomb during the Night.

How else do you play Mafia? Other than by cards I used play it on Byond a long time ago.

In person. It's just too slow in the text format and I've seen people get lynched for being scum with the only evidence that they don't post as much as some other people. And some people get lynched for posting more than some other people.l

In the card game based mafia, people end up lynched for having been heard shifting in their seat, and bodaciously nothing else, and the bandwagons are way way worse.

Plus, in text based games, there's actually room for other roles, which make it a little more fun and even thanjust randomly lynching people because "I heard him move when you called for mafia!"

I know that. I've said before I've been lynched just for smiling too much, but I still like it better because it's over in about fifteen minutes compared to a month. Less time for grudges to fester.
