So, what I am getting from here that stuff about Dragons, Wizards, Hobbits, Goblins, Demons, Angels, and all that good ol Fantasy crap is cheesy?

Oh, I love ALL of the songs on that album.

It's just the celtic ones that stand out to me. 7 Days to the Wolves is an amazing song as well.

What is there to elaborate? Whether you like them or not, their over-the-top theatricality is their main appeal, there's isn't really much substance to their songs aside from the strong (and at times really good) vocals and the catchy, synth-laden choruses. Their song structures are straightforward, the guitar riffs that accompany the verses are seldom more than 1-2 note filler and the lyrical subjects range from cheese to ¸bercheese. It's a bit too pretentious and poppy for my tastes, I can see why you'd dig it if you're into more straightforward pop/rock, but Nightwish has relatively little to do with metal - especially their newer albums, the old ones actually have a few nice moments.

None of you listen to Strike to Survive, a local high school band in the Sonoma County area, and therefore, you all suck. Also, none of the bands posted in this topic are metal. They're posers and they make my ears bleed.

No they're not, some of their stuff is definitely metal, moreso than stuff like Nightwish and lots of other poppy power metal. And no, they're not overrated - at least not the original Black Sabbath, the Dio stuff blew.

And I gave Strike to Survive a listen, expecting shitty metalcore - I got classic hardcore punk with a bit of crossover thrash influence that was actually pretty cool. Definitely not metal tho. But cool.
