Del Tha Funkee Homosapien, particularly Deltron 3030, which is an album I have to get somehow.

Lupe Fiasco. Food and Liquor is better than TheCool, even though I only have three songs from Food and Liquor.

De La Soul. You know what? Just about any rap group/artist that collaborates with the Gorillaz is awesome to me.

Biggie and Tupac are okay as well.

Hey guys, rap can be quite excellent!

Interestingly, pretty much any and all genres can be excellent. You just need the right artist for it, and more often than not these are not mainstream artists. Unfortunately, the world is full of idiots. And idiots have a crappy taste in music, almost without exception. I mean, how else would a band like Taking Back Sunday get air time?
