AWKWARD ZOMBIE

Sorry lovelies, got Pms sorted out earlier but family drama reared it's ugly head. I'm too wiped right now to deal with making a proper Day 10 post, but I don't want to hold the game up. I'll edit the necessary fluff in tomorrow~

Day 10

*ding dong*

"Alright you bastards, it's daytime. Let's all do our best~"

It's a bit of a cloudy day today, but there's not much chance of rain.

The days will last 48 hours barring unforeseen circumstances, upupu~

Joe gets up out of his nest, stretches himself out a bit, puts his shirt on, then opens up his front door.
"SCRAAWWK!" he shouts loud enough for the entire village to hear.

Lucky slowly gets up. He moves to his door and opens it. He heads out of the house, and over to the Nookling Store.

Joe coughs in embarrassment from his instinctual habit, and follows Lucky to the Nookling Store.
Once inside, he asks the shopkeepers, "What in the Nine Hells was with that trick y'all pulled last night!?"

Day may be lengthened depending on posting frequency and what's going on, we'll kinda play it by ear. If you've got night actions, feel free to send them early, they'll help me gauge when you guys want the day ended~

As Lucky approaches the Nookling shop, he spots the familiar figure of Joe coming up behind him. The duo enters the shop together.

"Greetings you bastards! Bastards!"

"Were you pleased with the excellent service we provided you with? I heard it went off without a bang."

Joe grinds his foot against the ground for a bit while giving the shopkeepers the evil eye, huffs, and slumps in defeat.
"You heard wrong, bodaciously."

"You can't do that to people. You might think it's funny. It isn't when people are depending on it to keep them alive."

"Sorry, you bastards. Bastards!"

"We pride ourselves on prompt and excellent service. And meticulous mortician work!"

"But we failed you, and we're really sorry. Have an embalming on the house."

"Though it wasn't our fault. Uncle Nook told us to replace the bullets and blanks with just blanks. He was very particular."

Joe shakes his head judgingly. "So you disguised blanks as bullets, but you didn't disguise bullets as blanks? That just disappoints me even more! Though I suppose this is, like all things here, Tom Nook's fault."

Joe turns away and leaves the store.
Probably ticked off some people last night with what I tried to pull. This would be a lot less awkward if they actually died like we planned.

"Upupu~"

"I do apologize to you two. I enjoyed your scheming, especially from the bird planning to betray his partner, but it seems our guest objected to any killing being done with a gun, and the Mayor agreed, for the time being."

"Indeed, I had to replace all of our high tech machine guns in the village with rapid firing crossbows (Which cost me a pretty penny), but anything for our esteemed guest~"

"Now, will that be all? Or would you like to meet secretly with us again to plot further? I wouldn't be surprised if there's a few upset villagers who won't give you a second chance to strike though."

"Joe? What the hell?" Lucky says, turning to him. "I knew this would happen. I decide to be trusting just once... I even thought about killing you.. Figured you would betray me, might as well prevent the situation entirely. Cause some confusion too, when all evidence points to the dead."

Joe stops in his tracks, and sighs.

"I wasn't going to betray you in the way you'd think. That is all I will say on the matter."

He resumes his pace.

"All you'll say on what?"
Punchy peers at the two from the corner of the store.

"I heard you guys arguing. What's up?"
