Don't know if this is the right place for this but

Would it be possible to set two different sources of sound to come from different places? Like game sound from speakers then a voip into headphones? If possible, how? I had a headset that automatically handled this but I lost it.

It is possible, but you need a program to do it. I think Xsplit offers that capability, though I'm not sure.

That looks to be a game broadcasting program.

About to upgrade my laptop to Windows 10 today. Has anyone had any major problems running any programs on it? I haven't heard of too many people having issues with it yet.

I've been seeing quite a few people with issues, but that's pretty much expected at launch. Dunno why people are upgrading before thorough reviews and/or the first patch are out. Don't really see an actual reason to upgrade either.

I'd rather get it over with, I guess? And I'm kind of curious as to what's different, maybe it'll make some improvements.

Got it up and running now, nothing too weird so far. Dunno how I feel about all the information-tracking stuff that is built in, but at least it gave me the chance to mess with some privacy settings on my first startup. I don't really mind targeted ads and stuff like that, I just have to wonder if there are any security concerns when my computer tracks stuff like "typing history"... seems like the kind of thing that could be taken advantage of.

Here's a guide about privacy settings in Windows 10 (by a guy who has strong feelings about Windows 10 but still).

Just in case, Classic Shell was blacklisted. You can still run it just fine if you rename the .exe to something else. The guide covers that too.

Something's wrong with my internet card. I have a Gigabyte dual band wifi + bluetooth card and my internet seems to be dying at this point. Takes more than 20 minutes to download 258 megabytes, constantly stuttering for 3 seconds at a 2 second interval and I can't see any obvious problem with it. Tried updating all network adapter drivers but it says they're all up to date.

I'm at the end of my rope here with this junk. If anyone could help, I would appreciate it.

Are you sure the problem isn't your router?

Something very similar was happening to me last winter. It was my modem that was dying.

You're right, I restarted my router and it fixed itself.
The main problem here was that I automatically assumed it was my equipment, because it's had problems ever since I got it.

Feel rather stupid now but thanks for replying though, now I won't have to worry about any repair costs.
I think I just ran out of patience and didn't think of that option.

It still stutters at long and irregular intervals, has done so ever since I got the wifi card but the repair isn't as urgent at least.

Is it a laptop or a desktop? Check your power settings.

More Windows 10 trouble: I still get File System Errors even after error checking (which doesn't recognize any errors anyway)
What do

Your hard drive is bad or your Windows installation is bad. Wipe your operating system and reinstall.
