It sounds like you put some strain on it in a wrong way. I'd recommend taking it easy for a few days but don't lay down to give it more rest. Stay active and don't put too much strain on it for a bit.

Found that my crunches felt much more effective with my legs lifted completely on the ground instead of locked on the ground.

That's a pretty good one. But how much are you supposed to do? Just as many as you can?

ever since caribou coffee went away my jogging routine has kinda vanished

because i'd always jog over to get coffee and then jog back

but now i've found a new coffee place that's just the right distance away

time to start exercising again

it's about 8 miles in total. it's no marathon but given how out of shape i am, it's something.

As many as you can is a bit vague since that would theoretically leave you death, I'd say take a set number that makes you feel the burn in your muscles but not to the extent that you strain them. Then if you want a more intense work-out, take a break or focus on another area and then do the same amount again. Repeat until satisfied/exhausted.

Building on this, I find that going through three sets of everything works pretty well, though that's with weights. Dunno how well it'd translate to something like that, but it's worth a shot.

Exercise has been going really well actually mostly. I've been keeping track of how much I'm doing with an excel sheet. That way I can diagram my progress.

Oh, it was actually meant as a quick "7-minute" workout, so probably not too many reps of each.
Of course, it's got a lot of good all-around stuff so you could extend it longer too, or start with a few of each and work your way up.

Man, why am I so bad at posting?

I've still been gym-ing regularly, I just keep forgetting to post.

Now that I passed my midterms, I've been able to work out 5 times a week again at the gym. It feels really good to get back into shape.
