Ceaselessly unbuttoning/buttoning up my coat/jackets.

Twisting my feet in ways that freak out people and can't possibly be healthy in the long run.

Not humming but tsk-ing whatever music or rhythm is stuck in my head at the moment, which must give off a Lecter-like impression.

I play a game where the points don't matter (that's right the points are just like the ones awarded on Who's Line) where I look at license plates and award myself points based off the numbers on them if the letters say something. (but because of how it's spaced like ABC-123 I can only do 3 lettered words and names, or phrases initialized into 3 letters.)

I try to make a point of making eye contact with people, but it was something I had to work on.

It helps to make eye contact with someone when you're speaking with them - for a number of reasons.

In some countries it is best to never make eye contact for a variety of reasons...

When I was younger I would start almost all my sentences with Umm, because I would try to talk immediately after the other person finished/asked me a question, because I didn't give myself time to process it.
Horrible habit, glad I grew out of it.

Are you me? If someone starts a conversation with me, the first thing to come out of my mouth is a "what?/huh?/hm?" even if I realize a split second later that I heard what they said. I guess it's mostly to buy time so I can think of what to say while they repeat themselves. Thankfully people don't seem to get annoyed, perhaps because sometimes I really DON'T hear what they say and they need to repeat what they said anyway.

I feel the urge to clear my throat pretty often, and I do it with these pathetic little coughs. I've heard ridicule from some people for not "coughing properly/hard enough".

Lately I'm noticing more and more how uncomfortable I'm in social situations. When I'm sitting in class I'm constantly tapping the floor with my foot, clicking the tip of my mechanical pencil or running my fingers through my hair. If I'm really nervous my movements get really awkward and twitchy and jerky, my neck especially gets really tense. Oh and the usual never looking others in the eye, I just can't do it.

Like obviously yeah I keep eye contact with everyone I know, it's just with some teachers they give some really long explanation and I feel as if they might think i'm trying to out-stare them or something ahahaha.

I have a habit of chewing on things, all the time, without noticing. I actually don't chew pens or anything, but my nails, nut shells, the corners of plastic wrappers, popsicle and sucker sticks, popcorn containers, straws, and all kinds of junk ends up getting chomped on without me thinking about it. I used to chew the sleeves of my sweaters into rags, which I don't anymore, but I still chew on hoodstrings from time to time without realizing I'm doing it. Probably 50% of the reason pistachios are my favorite salty snack is that they have shells I can nibble on and they aren't as much effort as sunflower seeds.

Also, when I eat shelled sunflower seeds I have a tendency to get impatient with shelling them and just chew them up, shell and all. I usually don't mean to do it and end up stabbing myself in the gums and junk because the shells break into freakishly pointy little slivers when you bite them.

i have ocd (fun) in relation to things feeling ever, especially with my hands

i constantly do this ritual of touching both my palms, then running my finger across both my wrists. i'll repeat this until it feels even.

i also wash my hands a lot because i like them to feel a certain way, if they're sticky or greasy feeling and i can't wash them right away it's really upsetting

I shake my leg a lot without noticing it myself...

It wasn't until earlier this year when my Chinese friends pointed out that it's a belief in their culture that people who often shake their legs a lot, indicate that they're a huge bitch.

/continues to shake leg

awh man

I bite the inside of my cheek a lot, and I like, stroke my hand in a certain way, like subconsciously. when I'm not doing anything.
I shake my leg a lot when I'm writing stuff, too.

I have this "stress bump" on the inside of my lip that developed because i bit the inside of my lip off all the time. It kinda looks like a really small zit except I can't ever pop it. Normally it's barely noticeable but whenever I start biting my lip again it kinda swells, and it gets annoying, so I mess with it, so it stays around longer, and its kinda a cycle of it hardly ever going away.

I tend to also fidget my legs or feet, especially if I'm nervous or excited. I used to have that problem with biting a bump inside your lip, especially because once it was there from worrying at it I would accidentally bite it really hard since it was sticking out, and it would get worse, but luckily it's pretty much gone now.

Also when my nails happen to be longer because I haven't bitten them for a while, I tend to play with the edge that's sticking out past the finger a lot. Like, run my thumbs over them and stuff, or tap them against my teeth.
