She could get supplements or enzymes that can either process it for her or help recover her ability to process them in some cases.

It might be something to look up.

Also, Neti Pots are wonderful things, even though the discharged water can be pretty gross.

Headache off and on for four days now. I'm up to double doses of ibuprofen to keep the pain down, and I guess at some point today I'm going to see exactly how much a doctor's visit will cost me.

Also some allergies/intolerances can be fixed which is kinda cool. i was lactose intolerant for like...a month? told my doctor and he did some kind of test on me, proclaimed that my stomach was angry at me for something (i've honestly forgotten,) gave me a ton of vitamins and i was cured in a week o__O the same thing happened to Kyle too. Might be worth a question if you've got insurance?

Also I've heard that thyroid imbalances can cause "allergies/intolerances" as well

that stuff is free here, but id otn fancy being pricked with needles over and over again. plus I osst my health card and cant afford a new one.

I've not had one so correct me if I'm wrong, but I think an allergy tests just consists of drawing a few vials of blood (so, only one needle prick,) to test on. Though I agree, having blood drawn for any reason is unpleasant.

Allergy tests tend to be done on the back, with you being pricked or "scratched" with needles containing dilute irritants. If you are allergic, the general area will react.

I'm sure there's specific allergy tests done differently, but in most cases, they do a full sweep.

Scratch test, ugh. First they scratch/prick you with something everyone reacts to so they have a baseline, then they prick you with common allergens, and if the skin swells up you're allergic. The first one itches like hell :(

I'm either borderline or over the standard ranges for blood sugar, cholesterol, blood pressure, and several other things. Here's the kicker, I'm not fat, still skinny actually, and still in my early twenties.

Moral of the story? Go get some bloodwork done because what you see is deceptive to what may actually be happening. Gonna start exercising on a regular basis now.

I think the antihistamines I'm taking to deal with my hayfever allergy are making me more grouchy or more sensitive to pain - just when I thought I had my Jekyll/Hyde personality-shifting under control (I've recently figured out this was mostly to do with the level of pain I was suffering at the time).

I'd been managing my pain/grouchiness okay until I added these antihistamine things into the mix - so I guess now it's a matter of choosing between suffering from near-immobilising respiratory issues or wanting to put my fist through a wall once I get home from work.

I generally find it hard to draw/write when my sinuses are all swollen up like an angry sponge - pressing on my brain tissues and impairing my ability to breathe - so I guess I've gotta put up with being prone to pain-induced anger again.

Fun times.

Also I guess I've become allergic to white flour recently because my stomach flips out whenever I eat the stuff - specifically French flour (as used in baguettes/French sticks).

How long is it between each time you puke?
I tried doing a little research and 95% of the results were "Gawd I'm pregnant and morning sickness suuuuuucks", though I found this little piece of advice:
Unexplained nausea can have so many causes. It can be a symptom of various undiagnosed diseases, a side effect of medication, or the first sign of a food allergy. Other times, the stomach is not receiving the nerve signals it needs in order to commence digesting properly.

"Diagnosing nausea begins with eliminating the most common causes. If someone is on a certain kind of medication, they may be asked to go off it in order to discern if nausea is a side effect. Pregnancy and hunger are also causes of nausea that can take someone by surprise. Once these options have been ruled out, the doctor may ask the patient to keep a log of all her daily activities in order to determine the cause.

There are several chronic illnesses which have continual nausea as a little-known symptom. For example, diabetes can begin with nausea before any other obvious symptoms. Problems with the gallbladder can manifest themselves in a queasy stomach as well as a pain in the side. Acid reflux disease can have nausea as a main side effect."

Ulcers apparently doesn't necessarily have acid reflux, so it could be stress.

I think I have some weird Obsessive Compulsive Disorder case.

My thumbs are oddly jointed, I think maybe double jointed, so when I do a certain movement with them they make a popping sound, you know, when you crack your knuckles sound? When I do that, I suddenly can't stop. My friend Girl That Comes With the Dawn (she's Navajo) would just stare at me for hours at school, wondering "what the hell are you doing with your thumbs?"

I have a really weird need to feel things in my palm, like right in the center. I'll put shit down, and then have to readjust it to be perfect, and then I'll just kinda press my palm into it and it takes me some serious will to stop.

People just have weird things like that, tiny habits. I don't think it's necessarily OCD.
