It seems the vote is against either Marcato or BBB. To be honest, I can't vote against either of them for their choice in how we should vote (NL or RL) since either is just as much of a crapshoot as the other, though through discussion I have come to the conclusion that voting to lynch someone does hold a better chance in the long run for the town, especially if we have a serial killer to deal with. If we do have a vig, then even then, assuming we don't lynch him, we would just expect him to do the smart thing and only kill on suspicions rather than the random chance to hit a mafia target.
Looking at the pros and cons of either: NL pros - We have a guaruntee at not hitting a town the mafia could hit the serial killer, which is unlikely If it is a vigilante we're dealing with, which is also unlikely, then at least we avoid hitting a town, and a night killing role on our side NL cons - The mafia/serial killer get two free kills We have a guarantee of not hitting a mafia member We start off tomorrow even worse off than today with almost as little to work off of (third day lynching is only slightly better than day two lynching)
RL pros - We have a chance at at least killing a mafia We can base the next lynch on who did or didn't vote for who does get lynched Reactions to suspicions and accusations both from, and to the one who gets lynched can help determine who is most likely mafia (again, based on the role of the lynched) RL cons - We might hit a town Hitting a town would then give the mafia/serial killer a 5 kill advantage
Given this, I'm more in favor of the chance vs guarantee in favor of at least getting a mafia member if we lynch someone. With that, I can't help but understand Marcato's frustrations earlier. Just thinking if I were mafia, I'd be comfortable with no lynches, since it guarantees free kills without risking losing someone to a lynch during the day. So with that, I'd be much more in favor of no lynching than to become adamant on a lynch against a town, which would be a free kill, but ultimately open me up for prime suspicion the following day. Plus, his and/or her frustrations aren't a reason for suspicion. Him and/or her frustrations are from his (fuck it, you're a dude until proven otherwise. My sincerest apologies.) adamant opinion that we need to lynch someone, which I both agree with, and find it totally understandable to want to defend.
BBB, on the other hand, we for the direct NL, which I established as a sign of being mafia more than being adamant for a lynch, with little explanation as for why. I'm not much a fan of just going with a decision super early with little to no justification. So while I can't blame him for his decision to vote NL, the way he did it and the haste in doing so is more evidence for scum than Marcato's adamant want for a lynch to happen. All I'm hoping now is that Marcato is indeed town.
Soooooooo yeah lynch BBB
