I've almost posted some thoughts about things that I'm feeling, twice now...

But I don't think they are problems that can be fixed - I think they are a defining feature of my personality, and going into them here would probably just come off as an 'I hate everybody rant' and everybody would just end up ridiculing me for being a upstanding member of society/animal lover, which would add to what I'm feeling.


So yeah, no, I think I should hold my tongue.

Nothing wrong with being a upstanding member of society and loving animals.

I don't think I'll invite her to my party.

I know I'm a very damaged person inside - to the extent I feel like I can never really trust another person.

I feel like whenever somebody gets close to me, it's only because they want something from me, it's not because they actually like me.

This is so much a part of my concious/subconscious now that I don't think I'm ever going to be able to shake it off.

As a result I have a near-zero interest in forming relationships with other human beings.


I really don't know what happened to me to make me feel this way - maybe I've blocked all the memories.

All I know is that when I'm petting an animal I don't feel any of the anxieties I feel around human beings - I just feel at peace.

Did other people make me this way? Or is this how I would have turned out anyway?

I'm so damaged I don't even know.

We all talk to people so we'll get something from them, whether it's power, riches... or just attention or love...
Loving someone is just asking this person to aknowledge our very existence. That's as simple as that. So it's always about ourselves.

... but why would it be bad ? As long as you know how much you think about yourself, you can start caring about others.
To want something from someone doesn't mean not to like someone.

Knowing that people always have selfish intentions scares me, honestly.
