Sorry, guys... But I got hungry, and ate the last of the cookies... And drank the last can of Sprite. Though, I bought the Sprite, so I guess that part is okay.

That's okay.
I'm not one for cookies and I'm a 7up guy ever since Sprite "improved" the flavour. :p

Sprite's flavor was changed? I never noticed...

Whatever they did made it taste a lot different for me.
To the point that 7up tastes better to me, even 7up Free with no sugar in it.

After reading up it might only be a UK thing.
Can't find any source of Sprite in the USA being changed.
Anyway this happened in 2013. :p

I remember Sprite and other lemon-lime sodas had a sharper bite to them when I was little. Nowadays, whenever I drink it, it has this odd aftertaste that I don't find entirely pleasant, and it doesn't taste as fizzy.

I get headaches whenever I drink the "Diet" versions of Coke products, but not with the "Zero" versions. I'm guessing it's the sweetener, aspartame, that's in Diet cokes. It's consistent, too; I don't think I've ever drank a Diet Coke and NOT gotten a headache. I don't even know what sweetener they use for Zero but I've never had a problem with it.

Its still aspartane, its probably because it uses a different mix of ingredients than Diet Coke hat you dont get headaches

It might not just be the soda that changed, your sense of taste gradually dulls as you get older. That's part of why most little kids are so much more averse to bitter things than adults. The bitter sensation hits them a lot harder, so it still has that "AUGH POISON" quality to it, instead of "Huh, dark?"

I can't eat bitter things at all. I've never been able to enjoy dark chocolates.

I've also never been able to process cherry-flavored anything without immediately having to spit it out. I couldn't eat it when I was little, and I eat it can't now.

Poison, all of it.

The only cherries worth having are virgins...

Saturday, after I told my brother via text about the cat (if you missed the details, go check out "Things that piss you off"), he asked how bad they tore her up, which they didn't do. Probably just bit and shook her, the way they kill anything small.

I took a picture of the cat after I had moved her, and the place I had found her, then sent them to him.

The purpose of both pictures has already been fulfilled, so I no longer need them, but the problem is that not only do I feel guilty every time I see it, I feel worse every time I think of deleting them. Even though they're unpleasant pictures. The only clues that she's dead in the picture are the blood and her position.

I don't even need them, as mom sent me three pictures of her, taken back in February.

I also felt really bad about it when I poured the remaining cat food from one bowl into the other, almost as if it were an insult to the cat that had just died.

The next day, I went to ask my mom a question from my brother on an unrelated topic. She was telling my niece about it. She didn't cry or shout. It was a bit of a calm anger. Really bizarre seeing that from a kid who is seven and a half years old. After she went back in the house, my mom said I had been more upset (not surprising; my niece was only here on weekends, and the cat lived here), and she thought I would cry when I first told her.

Go figure. A grown man, getting so emotional over a cat that isn't even his. (Though she may as well have been. She slept in my room virtually every night, and followed me everywhere in the house.)

You are allowed to have feelings about animals. It's not your fault she died. Tell yourself that.

It will be when those dogs get it, though.

The dogs are not your neices cat. It's not your fault those dogs were assholes and they have shit owners.

you are allowed to have feelings because you cared about kitty. Dont ever put yourself down for having feelings. I think you need to delete thephotos of her post death though. Dont remember her like that.

Mom told me to keep it, as evidence that it happened. Granted, not likely to have an encounter with the police, as I'm probably not gonna get caught dealing with the problem of the dogs. So, once we get this dealt with, I can delete the picture.

Thankfully I have a few other pictures of her at the vet's clinic, laying around.
