Sometimes I wonder if I'm in over my head with programming. I grasp the concepts well enough and I eventually get my code working, but it's hard to learn all the little details. Everything is connected and if I don't learn one thing well, it effects everything else.

What's your current experience? What languages do you know?
You can't be expected to do low-level stuff right away. That's why Python is a good language for beginners, it does all the more complex things for you so you can focus on algorithms and routines and libraries before you start looking at the inner workings of the objects you use.

I kinda want to make a Twitter where I just write down how I currently feel about myself, because apparently I want to let the internet know just how much I hate myself

I've been working with sql and I've done a little with C++. With C++, object oriented programming and search algorithms were hard for me.

Oh, no wonder. Object-oriented requires a good understanding of procedural programming, and C++ syntax is no fun, especially for beginners.

What kind of SQL, out of curiosity? We used SQLite 3 in DB-I because it's simple and easy to deploy (and cross-platform) and MS SQL Server in DB-II.

What kind of programs have you done with C++? We only used it in one class and it was only to see how data structures work, we didn't even make it to using objects or learn to use the language more than copy-pasting the teacher's code and changing one line here and there. Have you started creating your own classes?

I keep going back to a girl who has left me twice because she has feelings for other people. I know I'm a complete and total idiot for it but I really did fall in love in those 2 years. I don't know if I'm making a mistake but I know all logic in my body is telling me I am.

I think it would be sort of cool to be a race car driver.

Plus since I can't legally drive yet it's the only professional sport I can still say I could possibly do.

It's strange how it's normal to me to hear other people to talk about sex, but whenever I say or do anything to indicate I'd even heard of sex, I get embarrassed as hell.

It's like the gag in pop culture of someone of ill repute getting struck by lightning when they attempt to enter a church. Kinda.

"How the hell do you know that?! YOU'RE A VIRGIN!!!"

Sorry I've been away so long, I started a new job and I'm having a hard time with depression, but I'm working through it and I've got some new medicine which seems to be working well.

Every once in a while I go back and read every comic on the site and I get really paranoid when I read the one about scurvy.

But that's one of my favorites!

I had previously believed Terraria to be a lame-o 2D Minecraft. I was wrong. It is a fantastic 2D randomly generated metroidvania-minecraft game that I quite like.
Shout out to Sollix for setting me straight.

But I don't like orange juice and am not sure where else to get massive quantities of vitamin c. Maybe I'll start getting multivitamins.

most people get enough (or at least enough to not get scurvy,) in their every day diet. tomatoes, green veggies, berries, peas, broccoli, all those have as much or more vitamin c than oranges. the reason it was such a problem on boats is because they pretty much just ate like, hard bread and dried meat because it didn't spoil quickly...and dried meat is pretty devoid of any nutrient outside protein lol.

I'm using sql server for this class. As for creating classes, I struggled with that and still didn't get it. That was the last bit of C++ I was to learn in that course. Most of the rest was learning how to use variables, functions, arrays, and search algorithms. C++ is just.. kind of hard? I feel like I should be better at it, but it's not easy figuring out how to do anything. The assignments were so boring too.
