I've always liked AC/DC.

It was my understanding that most everyone liked them, it's just whether or not they think they're overrated or not. I like them, but I don't think they're as great as everyone makes them out to be. Same with the Beatles.

The game certainly has far better music tracks, that's for sure.

My grandfather on my dad's side passed away at 9:00 this morning.

idgaf about that half of the family, really. Like, the entire group I have just completely written off any emotional attachment or respect for.

I wonder how many things in society are only considered sexy because... they're considered sexy.
I'm certain that pole dancing is a big example of this. I don't get how someone can find it arousing. Maybe the situations it's found in, maybe the people who do it and their "dressing". But what's so arousing about pole dancing to the point where it seems like it's considered "inherently" so? Do people actually find it sexy or do they just think that they're supposed to? It really doesn't seem much different from any kind of "normal" gymnastic activity.
A smaller example to me would be high heels. What's the appeal?

I'm sure one could write some sort of dissertation on the pole as a phallic symbol as what not. Thing is that pretty much all of our human interaction, including sexuality, is based on culture. So in a way yes, people find it sexy because others do (simplified). You'll probably find that most of your subjective opinions are influenced or inspired by others. Taste still differs though obviously, as not every one interacts with the same people and experiences culture the same way. A more interesting question would actually be (to me at least), to what extent an individual's born nature actually determines his taste.

On the side, I do find quite a few pole dancing acts impressive athletically.

When I was around 16 I was big into Dragonforce. I'm embarrassed by most of the things I liked as a 16 year old nowadays, but after listening to them again for the first time in years the other week, I've found I still like them. I listened to them a ton over the Summer holidays once, so now listening to their songs just makes me think of my dad's old house and hanging out with my friends on the big trampoline and going to the Santa Pod raceway to see drag racing VW Beetles/campervans. :'>

I saw them live a couple of weeks ago, not bad at all. Either they've gotten better or people exaggerated that they couldn't play their songs live.

The pole itself really only lets the dancer pose in otherwise impossible ways. Though I don't know for sure, as I have no intention to ever go to a strip club.

I probably only keep up on this comic because I come to check the forum.

I do love it but the forum is the part I remember to do.

i get really nervous when I leave or someone I care about leaves for any reason, like work or the store or something

Like, "what if there is a car accident or someone goes fucking nuts with a gun or something oh god"

So instead of "Bye! See you later!" it's like "Bye! but just in case, bye and know i really would miss you if you get caught in a gang turf war crossfire on your way to Walmart and crash your car and die horribly so please be careful"

haha, me too. Half the time I forget we even have a comic here.

IIRC, before I joined I actually stumbled on the forum while googling something, forgot about it, found the comic later, did an archive binge like a year later and then stumbled on the forum through the comic. Then I lurked forever before I joined.
