I goddamn HATE the sound of my own voice.

If I'm just talking to someone normally, it's fine, but when I'm watching a video of me and I say something, I just end up thinking "Oh god that's what I sound like to other people. FUUUUUUCK THAT'S WHAT I SOUND LIKE. MAKE IT STOP."

I think that happens to all of us.

other people sound pretty normal.

I sound like I constantly have a stuffy nose. It sounds like every super-nerd stereotyped voice.

I read somewhere that when you talk, you hear the vibrations through your head and skull, so it sounds different than when you hear it from an external source like a recording. So most people think their own voice sounds weird when they hear it.

But yeah my voice sounds hella weird to me too. I'm always worried that people will think I'm a dude because my voice isn't high pitched at all.

Well I already thought you were a dude because the default assumption is everyone on the internet is a 15-20 year old white guy, sooo...

But yeah everyone's voice sounds crazy to themselves. I know what you mean by nasally sounding, Marcato. Just know that everyone else also sounds like that to themselves.

I'm going to bribe the intern with sweets so she won't tell anyone that school next week wednesday is cancelled, so I don't have to go to work instead.

If anyone asks, I usually respond with "there are no girls on the internet". I only mention it if its relevant, lol.

Besides, I figured the adorable poros in my sig and avatar would give it away, but hey, cuteness knows no gender.

My feelings toward the Danish are similar to the Scottish towards Englishmen.

What's wrong with Denmark? I'm not terribly familiar with Scandinavian/Nordic history, so IDK if there is some weird conquest/war history between you guys, but I thought most people really liked the Danes.

So when I first started the insomnia stuff I enjoyed being the only one awake, it was nice to be aloneish. Now most of the family has adopted my sleep schedule. I dislike it.

Yeeaaahhhh, insomnia is an actual sleep disorder in which you have the inability to fall asleep or stay asleep. It is mentally and physically very taxing.

"Night owl" is the term people use for those who prefer to stay up at night. Unless you DO have insomnia and your family caught it, in which case I apologize.

Well, we only broke free from them and became an independent country in World War II, before that they ruled over us (thank you Hitler for distracting them). I don't really like it that their culture is still being imposed on us in schools for example, like learning Danish language as mandatory rather than Norwegian or Swedish for example.

Danish language pisses me off so much because their spoken language is nothing like the written one.

There's a lot of old rivalries dating back centuries, which are mostly over now but there's some cultural leftovers from those days. Denmark used to own Iceland, Sweden used to own Finland and Norway, and were bitter enemies with Denmark. After Denmark lost Iceland in WW2 and Sweden lost Finland to Russia in 1812, a lot of minor stuff stuck around, such as language requirements in school.

I got really pop flyin' and flattered and excited just now because a guy I used to have a huge crush on in high school reblogged my selfie and said I looked cute. Reminds me that he said I was cute in my yearbook too, haha.
