As Joe drags away the statue, someone stops him.



"Hey there cousin, I don't think that rightly belongs to you, does it?"

In front of Joe stands a fox wearing an apron.

"I believe ol' Tom over thar already has a purpose for this, don't ya, sneaky bastard."

"Oh Redd, you're as delightful as ever, you son of a bitch~"

"Timmy and Tommy will take care of that. I think it might look suitable on the fountain, or maybe in front of the Train Station. After all, that bastard really loved that place for some reason."

Tom clears his throat to address all of you.

"This is Redd, you might know him as the owner of a chain of traveling art shops called "Crazy Redd's". He's known to do anything for a deal, making him the ideal partner for me."

"B-But not partner in love or anything, we're cohorts in crime."

"As for the reason for his visit, I-"



"Is it time for my big debut on the stage?"

Tom Nook hits himself in the face for some reason. He seems almost pained by the... creature's appearance.

"Not yet Shrunk, but you might as well stay now."

"Great! I'll be sure to knock their socks off~" he says as he dances like a creep.

"And like all great duos in History, Redd and I have a toxic leech hoping to be the third musketeer. This would be our... colleague Dr. Shrunk."

"Ahaha, nice joke there Tom! It's great that we're close enough to kid about these things with eachother!"

"... (Why is no one laughing?)"

"Back to the topic at hand, I will be leaving our dear Hope Town for a couple of days. In the meantime I will leave you in the very capable paws of Redd."

"And me, right?" he says with a chuckle.

"... Right... Anyways, I have a very important meeting to attend to, and while I'd love to stay here with you all, I must go. Be aware that I will still be watching the whole time. I hope none of you... disappoint me."

Isabelle looks at her feet.

"Now then, before I leave, I might as well tell you what to expect tomorrow. And what better way than with a bang!"

As you look to the south, you see the exploded remains of the houses of Pierce and Cranston.

"Tomorrow you will have access to new places in Main Street including Club LOL which opens at night. If you go there, you will be locked in there all night, since you can't be on Main Street at nighttime, and you will be unable to sleep there, unless you want to forfeit your life. You'll be able to hear music played by KK Slider and... Shrunk's attempt at humor. I can't imagine a more despair-inducing experience."

"In addition, you can also spend the night at the Dream Salon, which is the only other place you can sleep besides in a home, due to the nature of you needing to be asleep there."

"Also, you have access to the pop flyin' Home Academy north of Main Street if you talk to a bastard named Digby."

"!"

"However, I can't guarantee that you'll like what you see there... I find the decor to be quite tacky and... familiar... upupu~"

"Also, I think it's wise for you to be careful of who you associate with in pleasantries. We've seen that friends are willing to throw other friends to the wolves, and I can tell you that not everyone is being honest right now."

"And Isabelle, I think your performance in the trial was abysmal. I'm sure the mayor will want words with you tonight, before I leave."

"... R-right."

Isabelle walks back towards the Town Hall, turning and giving the others a weak smile and a sad wave.

"I especially wouldn't get too chummy with Isabelle..."

"After all, she's a competitor in this game of life and despair, the same as the rest of you."

W-What?



With that bombshell dropped, he walks away.

*ding dong*

"It's nighttime you bastards! Main Street is now closed. Get some rest, you're going to need it, upupu~"

I have banners to edit into this, but they're on the shitty computer still. They're amongst the last things I need to transfer though, so rejoice!

Also, night will PROBABLY not last the full day (though who knows), but I do want to allow players with night stuff to be able to do something this time before other night options open up tomorrow.

Punchy, weak and terrified, locks his door and shoves as many things as he can in front of it before falling asleep.

Lucky slowly walks back to his house and locks the door. He pulls up a chair in front of the door, grabs the axe, and sits there, waiting.

Alright, so everything is in order. People should check their PMs just in case I sent them something, and certain people should check a certain chat that certainly has certain pieces of certain useful information for certain occasions. So if you're a part of a chat, go get on that.

In the middle of the night, a train whistle pierces the nightly silence, the first one to run in the week that you've been here. With it goes the knowledge that Tom Nook, at least for this moment is gone. But what has taken his place?

"So, I didn't get to provide any of my FRESH material earlier when I was introduced, so I figured this would be as good a time as any to try out some "free samples" with you kiddos."

"What kind of jokes do you kids like, because I've got plenty!"

"Though they mainly seem to be centered around self-deprecation..."

"I mean, what's the deal with that? Do people really like watching comedians berate themselves about their flaws?"

"Does it make you feel better about your flaws because of that?"

"Or are we just some kind of freak show to be laughed at?"

"In any case, I don't really care why people are laughing, just so long as they are!"

"T-The doctor is OUT!" he says as he gives a merry jig.

*ding dong*

"Hey cousins, it's mornin' or whatever. Just go about your business as usual."

Lucky walks out of his house, his eyes barely cracked open. He looks horrible, as if he didn't sleep at all. He closes the door, walks a few steps, then collapses to the ground from exhaustion.

Fine, you may retcon my actions, but if this happens again, I'll get all upset and cry everywhere and throw a bitch fit, and that is not a pretty sight.


Joe's walking nearby, and notices Lucky. He runs over and says,
"Lucky! Are you alright?"

"Yeah.... Just a little tired*yawns* from staying up and watching the door last night..."

"Hmph, I understand. I'd advise you to get a good night's rest though, for being up and alert at night will make you down and out at day," chirped Joe. "Heh, I'm not one to talk, what with my sleeping habits."
"You should look into fortifying your house. I think the furniture store may have something that will suffice. I was just heading there, actually. Want to come with?"
Joe extends his wing to Lucky.
