A powerline adapter is the way to go. Assuming the house's wiring isn't 100 years old.

Anyone know why my laptop keeps telling me that Encryption has stopped working? I have no idea what it means.

A screenshot of the error message would be helpful.

My laptop can't connect to my new home wifi. Every other gadget I have doesn't have any problems. My laptop connects to the router but doesn't get any wifi, it always says "limited".

Basically it doesn't really matter. Crucial Ballistix seems like the cheapest brand and afaik there are no issues with it. I went with Corsair because idk, Corsair makes decent stuff usually. More info

Frequency does not play a huge role as far as performance goes, a few percent time reduction at best, but it seems latency affects render times more: https://forums.adobe.com/message/5519419

So basically go with whatever 1600MHZ CL9 kit is cheapest.

Yeah, that was the conclusion I reached after my own research too. Though in reality it's hard to say how much difference you'd really notice with say a 1300MHZ CL10 set, I went half a year before realizing my CL8 set wasn't set up properly in the BIOS. Though I imagine the difference could be more noticeable in video processing software.

Probably some bloatware on your laptop that is malfunctioning, try to uninstall it or do a fresh windows install.

i have two identical monitors that used to show the exact same colour/gamma/brightness/etc but on my new pc the left one is normal and the right one is WAY TOO DARK. and calibrating it is not doing a daisies thing. the only difference is one in HDMI and one is in DVI because my video card didn't have dupes of one input.

whyyyyyyy it's so obnoxious
