Hell just last week there were tons of union workers picketing near my office building giving the people who ended up getting to do some contracting a ton of hell

Of course, you also got the shit beaten out of you for being in a union in the first place. Basically, shit beatings were the standard response to any sort of labor dispute

Whenever I think about the future, I get so panicky I have to lie down for a while. It feels like Ive been coasting too long without any major disaster hitting me, so now I dread every day when something horrible hasnt happened.

I love using the words commonly used in England, Scotland and so on rather than the usual words.

Such as arse. I also love the swear bloody and although I never use it, blimey is pretty great.

It'd be great hearing these in the daily life until I'd get bored of them.

I'm having fond memories of reading one of Arthur Clarke's short stories where this one guy is trapped on Mars and eventually going to run out of oxygen. Everyone on the ship died. I don't know why I'm enjoying the memory.
