You've got that wrong!

"I...I think I know what your motive could've been..."

Coco presents a crumpled letter to the group.
"This one was of the "prizes" Nook offered us, doroing. It promised to cover the hospital bills for Pierce's sister."

Pierce grips his podium so hard the wood snaps and breaks.

"Wh-where.....did you get that?!?!?"

"I found it on the ground this morning, doroing. Thought it'd make a good tissue..."

"I-if you think....th-that letter proves anything...."

"YOU'RE DEAD WRONG!!!"

"So you're saying that treatment for Amelia wasn't enough of a motive, doroing? Or am I misunderstanding you..."

"Heh....hahahaha.....ha! Ha ha! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!"

"OF COURSE IT'S ENOUGH OF A MOTIVE! AND THAT'S EXACTLY THE PROBLEM!"

Pierce sneers at the group.

"What, you want me to say I don't care about my sister? Heheheh.... Of course I do!"

"But that letter doesn't explain jack. Anyone could have been given an incentive from those letters."

"I want to hear how it's even POSSIBLE that I killed Cranston, and why I would have chosen him, or I won't hear another word of this!"

"A-alright, let's assume you're the murderer then."



Scenario 4

"You part ways with Cranston last night and follow Whitney to her house, discussing matters. At this point, you could have drugged her without her knowing. We're really not clear on that.

However, we do know, according to Whitney, that she always locks her door, meaning you'd have to steal her keys at this point. We'll get to the why of this later.

You then head over to Cranston's house, he easily lets you in because you're a part of the group that found the map.

You struggle with Cranston and somehow inflict a wound to his throat, killing him.

At this point, you need to frame Whitney to make yourself innocent.

You take Cranston's keys and the map and figure you'll plant them at Whitney's place.

But if Whitney isn't the murderer, she's likely telling the truth about being drugged... you wouldn't chance breaking into her house with her in it.

Time passes by, and eventually you have to go to her house or risk getting caught. You break in with her keys, and you find her passed out inside of her house. You pass over her, plant Cranston's keys and the map, and then take her shovel and ID (though I guess the ID could have been taken earlier...).

You head back to Cranston's house, damage his walls and furniture to make the appearance of a struggle, and add multiple wounds to Cranston to hide the fact that the throat wound was the only one. But because of the time that passed between the murder and you doing this, not much blood leaves the wounds, making them obviously posthumous.

You then plant the keys and ID of Whitney's underneath Cranston, to make it look like he grabbed them and hid them, and removed all traces of your involvement by removing any colored feathers on the ground.

You then took the shovel back to Whitney's and dropped it off, and because you didn't have her keys any longer, you could not lock the door behind you.

But, in the process of dropping off the shovel, a feather of yours got snagged on Whitney when you stepped over her. How else would a feather get on her if she was passed out in her own house?

And you did all of this for the resons laid out in that letter! You killed Cranston to save your sister Amelia! And y-you're trying to frame Whitney since she was the third member of your crew!"

"P-Pierce. Please tell me you didn't do this... for Amelia. Please tell me I'm wrong..."

Isabelle begins to tear up.

"Pierce, you don't even realize what you've done, do you?"

"What I've done....?"

"No one can prove that I've done anything!!!"

"Let me lay out exactly what's wrong with that scenario, rookie. It's all speculative! Every last bit!"

Whitney tilted her head to the side. "Are we sure that all of those white feathers around Cranston's body belonged to Cranston?" she asked. "After all, Pierce has white feathers too. On his head, mostly. And that sharp, hooked beak...eagles are predators, too, just like wolves."

Pierce suddenly looks nervous. He begins wringing his hands.

"Y-you don't know what you're talking about...."

"You're using my own body as evidence?!?!?"

"This is absolutely outrageous!"

"And what about the feather that was found on Whitney? If Whitney did murder Cranston, it's obviously one of Cranston's, but if Pierce..."

"NO!"

Pierce slams on the broken wood of his desk. His wings start to bleed.

"No. Whitney.....didn't kill anyone."

"It's about time I put an end to this."

".....I admit it. I killed Cranston."

"This might as well be a formality at this point, but it's time to vote., you bastards."

"Who do you think killed poor Cranston?"

"If you think admitting it now will make me resent you less, then you're wrong," Whitney remarked. She gave Pierce a blank look. "I don't take kindly to people who betray my trust. Even if my trust was a blind one."

"I vote Pierce."

"Pierce."
