You've been right almost all the time in the past few games, so I agree with voting to lynch Guyperson.

Also, the number of gang members is pretty large right now, so it should be safe to random lynch right now, so I guess it's safe to random lynch at this point.

It seems my lynching is inevitable without me giving some harder evidence I'm innocent.

How exactly are we supposed to believe you, though, and not think you're just saying that in a vain attempt to get the heat off your back?

And if you're lying, I doubt the real salesman will speak up, due to not wanting to be a target for the gang.

Thats not evidence. For all we know, you could just be saying that. Its happened before.

The way I see it, the real snake-oiler (me) has little to fear from the mafia because not only is my ability a half-chance success, but my other role as shrink is useless now. I'm not a priority target. So if there is another one (there isn't) who claims to be the oiler, he has nothing to fear from the mafia, only to fear when it's revealed I'm the real oiler upon my possible lynching that he isn't the oiler.

there's only a 50% chance of the snake oil seller protecting someone they visit

and you can't visit/protect yourself

and besides, if theres even a small chance of the snake-oil seller saving anyone, thats probably the priority of the gang

That's if they visit me, which I was counting on them not. And even if they visit me, I would've died for certain here today at the lynching had I not admitted I'm the oiler. At the very least, I've extended my short life.
But now, who else, throughout my trial, has been suspicious? If I am to die at today's lynching, who will be tomorrow's target when it is revealed an innocent oiler was killed? Or if I am to live, who goes instead of me?
And I suspect, knowing/thinking I am the oiler, they will choose a random, in hopes of getting gunsmith/cop/that duelist guy. Better yet, they'll let me live to draw more suspicion on me tomorrow.

Even if, despite all my guessing, and hoping, that I am not the one to die, they target me, at least they didn't get a more important member on the first day.

If your action was a 100% success then I might be swayed. But 50%? Your effectiveness is left to a coin flip. That's not useful.

Honestly town got majorly screwed in this game. No watching position and a half-assed doctor to mafia's guaranteed-to-hit skills.

On one hand, Guyperson could be lying, trying to at least convince us to not lynch him for a day by claiming power role. We could, indeed, just be pinning him based on a standard of usual behavior that might not apply to Guyperson.

However, I'm not really sure I'm buying it. He came off as aggresive right from the start, something he shouldn't even really be doing with his power role. He was quick to accuse, and never got down to defending himself. And as a defense, I really would have just accepted you stating the obvious; if you are telling the truth, then your supposed motive would be to try looking for day 1 lynches by placing pressure. But you were quick to say that you had no evidence or way to defend yourself, besides pleading for innocence.
