OH BOY TIME TO SHARE MY OPINIONS ON POLITICS

STORY TIME!

You're a member of congress. Suppose a big group of, let's say, Teachers, comes up to you and says "We'll all vote for you if you pass a law giving us higher wages. If you don't, we won't vote for you." Sounds like a good idea, right? You have a higher chance of staying in power longer, and a good cause benefits. Everyone wins! Now replace the big group with a Luxurious Opportunist Bearing Bounties with Your Initials Set upon Them. Or a L.O.B.B.Y.I.S.T. for short. And instead of teachers, they represent a business. And instead of higher wages, they demand a contract with the government or the military making completely unnecessary products, or a subsidy on a product they make. And in addition to votes, they offer cheddar, free products, and sexual pleasures.

Still seem like such a good idea?

My stance on governments is the same as my stance on basic human nature.
All people, including myself, suck.
Therefore, anything run or made by them will suck.
Once you understand this, you may begin bettering yourself, but to some degree, you will always suck.
