I suppose so.
I was just mad at him for not being able to get over her for like 15 years, by the time he sees her again and realizes she moved on, he finally smiles and does. Kind of funny since when he was on the train in the first part he hoped that she didn't wait for him because he was running late, but she did. However in the end she didn't wait for him and got on with her life sort of like he would have wanted.

I didn't think of that. I am glad she didn't wait her whole life for him, though. It kind of rustled me off when they showed Takaki writing those texts but never sending them.

Oh look, a page get.
Yes they sort of lost contact, if they had remained in contact who knows, but yet it was good for her, but him he was just ugh, its like get over her man its been years and you can't even bring yourself to talk to her. I suppose they could have lost contact somehow, but if he really loved her it doesn't seem like they should have. They could have written letters to each other about a change in address and what not... It just didn't strike me as sad as some people made it out to be. If it wasn't for the music I probably would be a lot more emotionless in the 2nd and 3rd chapters, oh yes and the beautiful animation.
