Soooo, I've come to learn that the place where I work is actually haunted. Which is super cool, but at the same time, just a little freaky to learn that there is a ghost around.

The Non-for Profit thing is closed this year. [A Week later] No wait it's opening but we need to move all the stuff again. [Repeat a month later]
This is been my year.

I had an anxiety attack at work today that was so bad I felt really light headed.

So my coworker/roommate thought it was totally okay for him to break a ton of work codes in an effort to punish me for not coming in early to cover a shift.

I had to spend an hour catching shit up because he intentionally didn't do anything, to screw me.

I had to work 2 10 hour shifts the past two days, I'm fucking tired, and I wasn't in the mood. Besides, me going into overtime wouldn't have helped the store at all when our labor is complete and utter shit.

This is not something new for my roommate, he is a shithead

New work is still jam packed full of enough things I don't know to consistently make me feel like an idiot and the rest of the crew is still totally friendly and polite enough to not say anything about it unless it involves a minor part of job completion. Then there's a fair amount of sarcasm thrown around. Which is pretty funny.

What's surprising - and intimidating - about the job is just how often it apparently screws you over. In at least 80% of the tasks my superior's tried to wean me into there's been a "Whatever you do, you absolutely must/cannot do this or else you're fucked" sort of line. I can understand having to be careful and detail-oriented when making a more-than-marginal mistake probably ends up wasting material but the sheer amount of attention and precision necessary is starting to become overwhelming. I'm not sure I'm looking forward to my first solo build.

Today has been the slowest work day ever. I work 3 PM to 11 PM, and it feels like I should be at home by now but lol nope only been five hours. I cleaned EVERYTHING. bodaciously everything. Under the registers, behind the registers, around the front computer, I cleaned the shelves I cleaned the Krispy Kreme case, I cleaned the cold sandwiches cse, I cleaned the cappuccino machine, I cleaned the Icee machine, I cleaned the soda fountain, I cleaned the roller grill, I cleaned the creamiser, I organized and cleaned the back store room, I WAS ON A LADDER CLEANING SURFACES NOBODY WILL EVER SEE.

AND IT STILL ISN'T TIME TO GO HOME YET

So I'm sitting her browsing AZ and eating teriyaki beef jerry on a break. 2 hours, 45 mins to go.

I would like to blame my recent string of typos on making posts from my phone, but that has only been true about half of the time. The rest of the time I just suck.

So the position I'm in at work stresses me out a lot, and I've two different managers to be moved. They've both said yes, but I keep getting scheduled to the same position. I don't really know what's going on????

Is it prying too much to ask for more information? This sounds super interesting and I'd love to know more.

I clocked out four hours early yesterday because I knew we needed someone up here because the store opened today. I get here, and there are four orders that need to go out, none of which are ready, one went out without the entire order because we didn't have all the merchandise in stock (if we did, I didn't have time to look for it and pull it down from the overhead racking), and I'm doing a twelve hour shift today.

Oh, and there's goat blood stains on my shoes, which, if I were superstitious, may have something to do with it. See my post in the unimportant topics thread for details on how that happened.

Got a lot of overtime hours today so I'm not even upset that I sweated so hard that my shirt was bodaciously mostly water. Someone installed an A/C unit right in front of where the meter can was clearly supposed to go. We thought that meant we wouldn't put it up today but our manager said the A/C company would have to come back and move them later so go ahead and install it. Ended up being a good idea because we actually finished everything we could in the house.
