I'm writing gigantic posts because that's what got shit started last game. I'm not doing it as much because, to be honest, I'm a bit wore out from last time. To be honest I'd much rather somebody else be the one writing ginormoungous mountains of post. I figured since we needed something quick, I just posted what each role's intentions were, and what I'd do in each one.

The whole "don't kill anyone at night" thing is just what I'd do if I were the mafia. It was actually half a joke, I don't really expect the mafia to believe my whim based on a single, though big, post on what they should do.

Kind of sounds suspiciously like something a warden would say. The wardens have the advantage in terms of knowin who to kill, while the mafia has to fire things out.
Working out who to kill is very different from killing nobody.

Next, I wager you'll be saying the prisoner power roles shouldn't do any killing.

Actually, I think wardens don't entirely know who to kill, since they need to kill mafia to win, not prisoners.

Well except the main difference with that is that the mafia are who gets the night kills, so if they don't kill anyone at night, effectively, no one will die. Had the mafia not killed anyone the last two nights, we'd still have the last two prisoners still alive, and still a slight advantage over the wardens.

The only way the wardens can actively kill anyone is if they get a shiv. I realize it sounds distinctively "He just doesn't want to mafia to hit a warden!" but it's not like they stop killing people indefinitely.

The mafia needs to try and preserve everyone but the Wardens, because the prioners want the mafia to win.

That and I don't want to be randomly targetted by them...

But the mafia doesn't need the prisoners, does it?
And we still win if they win, even if we're dead, right?

The mafia could just kill everyone else, then pick themselves off slowly until they get the mole.

Also, anyone pushing for a lynch could be expected to be a warden, at least until it becomes reasonable to expect the interrogator to have some converts.

Shit, we could even do the role reveal thing if we want to really break the game. Everyone votes no lynch, everyone reveals their roles, and then the wardens are sitting ducks. (Except the mole? I don't think we could force them into the open.)

Well then we've got a battle of double claims. Plus that's just no fun.

I'm still for the idea of having a topic to keep as reference, because I'm positive we're not going to get anywhere today. The top 3 suspicious persons idea was meant for everyone to just give a list for us to look at when mafia grabs their next target, so we can then firmly base suspicions from there. I'm all for a different approach but I think getting something like that would be more helpful than arguing semantics until the day is done.

The interrogator can convince anyone prisoner sided to get on their side if they want to.
That, plus shivs, plus lynching as soon as wardens + traitors outnumber mafia + prisoners.
And the swat can't be night killed so you'll have to start lynching SOME day.

Yeah. A no lynch could be good or bad. Good as in the wardens can't get a maf or non-converted prisoner dead. Bad because if we don't lynch them or at least narrow the field they'll have more time to figure out who is the maf and accumulate prisoners with the interrogator, giving them an advantage in the home stretch and a won game.

The mafia needs the prisoners in the same way any typical power role in any other game needs the vanilla town members. We support their cause, meaning our existence creates more numbers for the Wardens to have to worry about. If a prisoner gets a shiv, they want to hit a Warden over hitting someone in the mafia.

Though that reminds me...EYO TURBO!

You get a shiv last night? I want to know if my septuple reverse psychology actually worked.

I don't know whether it's actually safe to answer this question.

I mean on one hand, the wardens can't actually kill people so I'm safe regardless of my answer, but I'd rather not risk them trying to convert me if the answer is yes.
We're still at an advantage and part of that is the fact that the wardens don't know who has what.
