The leprechaun watched the skeleton's outburst and the jellyfish retrieve the key, and began to plan again.

I could take it from the jellyfish seeing as it seems weaked, but that skeleton sounds like he's ready to go into a rampage if he catches me, I could try to distract them both and take that key thingy, but how.

His love for treasure seemed to remove the spirit's effects on his mental capabilities, as little as the effects were, and snapped awake the treasure hunter's intelligence this leprechaun possessed.

Then he got an idea, the leprechaun took off his hat and began rummaging through it. This leprechaun possesed many magical items, his hat was one of them, he could stash anything inside it and wear it without any weight difference or anything falling out. He didn't really know how that worked out, nor did he bother to learn.

The leprechaun pulled out a steampunk device and began to twist a key on it, he "Borrowed" this item from a hermit out in the mountains and was saving it for such an occasion.

I hope this does what I think it does.

He prayed as he stopped winding the key and dropped the device off the platform, letting it fall to the ground floor below with a loud 'Clack.'

After the device hit the floor, it released a great amount of steam, which acted like a fog, covering the ground floor in a humid mist.

Perfection!

The leprechaun shouted out loud in his excitement as he made his wat back to the ground floor to claim the key.

... And then what

I think this is the most pictures I've ever drawn for an update. 12 in total (although I drew 17), 8 of which are already inked. I'm just going to finish inking, erase the pencil lines, and upload them.

With my update our group will finally be at Narwhal Island.

Tuxedo Elf sat facing the water.
"I'm sorry, but I have no idea how we're going to get a--"



At that moment, the hands reaching from behind him reached their destination in his hair, scrounging around inside the portal located there.
"AAAAA WHAT ARE YOU DOING GET OUT OF MY HEAD?!"
"Oh, be quiet and relax~ !" Angie teased, grabbing a hold of what felt like a suitable boat.




She pulled with all her might, surprising Robot as a boat started to appear out of the back of Tux's head. Turncoat Creeper's mask smiled with its permenant glee.



However, she felt eyes on the back of her neck, and turned to see someone watching from a ways away.



Starseed stared at these strange new people with disdain.



"Are you all also after the jellyfish?" She sneered, ready to make them turn back and go home. That jellyfish was -her's-.
The boat finally found itself free of Tux's hair, falling to the beach with an audible THUNK and almost crushing poor Robot.



"Uhhhh... no?" Creeper said, as though it was obvious. "We're going to see King Narwhal on Narwhal Island."
"King Narwhal? Why?" the vampiress asked immediately.



"You don't know?" Tuxedo Elf asked in confusion, blinking his eyes at the vampire. When Starseed didn't respond, he elaborated. "The lady hosting the ball has been kidnapped by an evil sorcer--"
"HAH!" Starseed laughed. "Like I would believe--"



Conviently, the bat she had summoned earlier finally reached her at that moment. It delivered the message from Iconsting, confirming the story to be true.



"WHAT?!" Star screeched, her eyes bursting into vicious red flames. "No one moves in on -MY- beautiful maiden! YOUR FOUR!" She pointed at the group right in front of her, her fangs elongated in rage. "I don't care what your names are - we are now a team, and you are taking me with you to this Narwhal Island!"



Tuxedo Elf, Angie, Turncoat Creeper, and Robot all exchanged confused glances.
"We could always use one more, I guess..." Angie mumbled.
"Uhm, okay...?" Tux shrugged, still trying to wrap his head around what had just happened. Having a boat pulled out of your head does that to you.
"She's stealing my colour scheme..." Turncoat Creeper muttered irritably, the smile of her mask somehow turned upside down.
"Excellent! THEN WE ARE OFF!" And with that Starseed shoved the rest of the group into the boat that seemed too small for all of them. Not to mention there were no paddles nor engine. It's kind of puzzling how they got to the island at all, really. (As it has nothing to do with my inability to draw anything other than half circle-shaped boats. Really.)



After they had arrived on the island...
"Hurry it up, would you?" Starseed sighed.
"Yes, some of us do have important things to do, remember?" Creeper chimed in.
From edge of the shore, Angie and Tux struggled to shove the boat back inside his hair-portal, glowering at their new companions.
"This is gonna be a looooong adventure..." Tuxedo Elf sighed miserably.

You make a wonderful villainess.

You flatter me~

Nobody volinters anymore, they're volin-told.

"What the hell!?" Zink yelled, as the room filled with steam. Crap! There must have been someone else around! They used a smoke bomb!

"This wouldn't have happened if I could have prepared the traps faster," Zink grumbled to himself. Although he could not see a thing, he immediately began swinging the staff all over the place, hoping that he would be lucky enough to hit the intruder.

"Aha! I found you, that that... oh, wait, no that was just a barrel. THERE YOU ARE! DIE! ...Oops, sorry kid! I almost took your head off there! He has to be around here somewhere!"

As he was panicking, the leprechaun was heading for the key. He had a much easier time navigating the fog then Zink, probably because he, you know, had eyes. He found the jellyfish and reached for the key.

Too easy

Suddenly, Zink got close enough to see leprechaun through the mist. "Aha!" he yelled, "You will not get away this time!" He immediately swung at the leprechaun with all his might. The leprechaun managed to duck in time, however, and Zink ended up hitting the jellyfish instead, sending both it and the key flying.

The skeleton and the leprechaun looked at each other, each thinking the same thing.

Craaaaaap

They immediately crouched to the ground and started frantically searching for the key.

(By the way, guys, this probably goes without saying, but it is probably best that the key doesn't leave the tower until everyone who is heading for the City of Ashes arrives. That way, no one gets left out.)

Yay! First part of the flashback!

It came out great Decker. Although Epona is sorta an avatar of me and I have curly hair that grows into an afro if it gets too long.

That's okay though it's still super cute.
