You can choose which songs to sync. Uncheck "sync all music" or whatever it says and then in the election boxes below, choose what you do want. Most convenient way to do this is to just make a playlist of all the music you want, and then you can quickly select only that when you sync.

And really, Mete? That kind of snarky answer is almost as bad as telling someone to use a different operating system when they want to fix a driver issue. Endorsing sketchy third-party applications is just irresponsible.

Endorsing iTunes is worse. That program may as well be malware for how "useful" it is.

It's not sketchy by any means. Lots of third party applications are far better for the job than iTunes is. iTunes is just another case of of Apple's "we know what you want/need better than you do" policy.

So I've been looking at various portable devices for the coming school year. My requirements are that it incorporate a stylus digitizer, preferably via Wacom, that it run Windows 8 (or 7, I guess???????), and that it run an intel core processor.

The recent Surface Pro 3 is perfect and the Surface Pro 2 is just shy of perfect, but both fall on the very outer edge of my budget. Are there any other devices I've been overlooking that are cheaper?

I'm willing to consider an iPad 4 except that I'm hesitant to trust that any art programs on it will work nearly as well as the myriad software available for a Windows device. Same goes for any high-end Android tablet with a digitizer, but I would hate to limit myself to the Android's borderline diseased app ecosystem.

I haven't touched on laptops, mostly because I'm sure none exist in my price range (maximum around $700, only willing to go over for a Surface Pro) that have the grade of pen support that I need. I would love to be proven wrong here especially.

Any suggestions? I've been over just about every mainstream-market Windows tablet I can find.

I use Nightingale rather than iTunes, it's a Mozilla-code-based music player that is basically iTunes but less awful. And yes, mozilla-based means it's also a web browser, though I don't use that functionality.

Really the only time I'd suggest using iTunes is if you're also using a mac, but I try to avoid that as much as I can.

Malwarebytes is running daily scans and keeps telling me every day that I've got a bunch of malware on my computer, but it says it successfully quarantines and deletes it each time. And I really haven't noticed anything strange with my computer. Any ideas what's going on?

So I boot up my PC and suddenly everything goes painstakingly slowly. So I check Task Manager and see my SSD is 100% loaded. Eventually I find the culprit, Steam (my old nemesis) was stuck preallocating space for a 1GB Dark Souls 2 update. This shouldn't be a problem since the SSD has 14GB left. Pausing the update alleviated the problem, but now I need to figure what's causing this and whether I need to reinstall Dark Souls 2. Any ideas?

Can someone walk me through installing a C++ compiler on my system? All I want is a compiler along the lines of Java's that I can run from command line, but I'll settle for the simplest I can get. I'm fine editing my PATH variable, but I draw the line lightyears before MinGW's bloated installer asking me to individually install hundreds of individual packages when all I want is the compiler itself.

Can anyone suggest a good program to rip files streaming from websites? I used to have orbit for that, but I since uninstalled it and it seems to be dead now.

Got a new router with ATandT. Now one of my games online doesn't work. mush.twinoid.com If you desire a link. It's a flash game, but I tried another one which did not work. No other problems with wifi. I get the sight, and I get /cgi-bin/redirect.ha after the address. The chat, which doesn't require flash, still works, but the loading bar for the game goes the opposite direction of the actual bar. Outside of the thing.

Wondering what I should upgrade my processor to. I have AMD Phenom II X2 555 processor right now and I need something of the same quality as a Phenom II X4 965 or better.

I can choose from an AMD Athlon 5150, AMD Athlon 5350, AMD Bulldozer X4, AMD Piledriver X4. Which one of these would be the best choice?

Out of those, the piledriver will give the best performance, but is there any reason those are your only choices?
