Arghhhh I should have looked this up on my own a long time ago, except either way I'm still going to end up having to go to the doctor.
For the past several years, I'm not sure exactly how long, I have had sporadic UTI symptoms. Really urgent kind of burning need to pee, while not actually having to pee, and burning with whatever there was. It took me a while to work up the courage to tell my mother, who took me to the doctor, who took a urine sample. It came back negative. So basically after that I just got to live with it. I got to where I could tell the difference between these attacks and really having to go. Also figured out that dehydration was a major cause of the symptoms- high sodium intake causes it without fail, and even sugar intake can cause it sometimes. So I have learned to keep my body in careful balance between sodium intake, exertion/sweating, and water intake. I have to go to the bathroom more often than most people, but I'm okay with that. It gets really complicated and annoying, though, at camps and stuff, especially since I am in marching band. It was really, really bad before I figured out how to control it better.
I was at church camp this past week, and we were doing mission projects around the city, in the heat. A project would be three or four hours, with no bathroom access, which makes me nervous enough as it is. But I didn't have any problems, except for one day I didn't do anything different, but still ended up getting really bad symptoms just as I left my first project. After the first project is lunch, then the second project. We just so happened to get to lunch late, so I only had like thirty minutes for lunch. So I was stuck guzzling tons of water to counteract these horribly severe symptoms, and didn't have time to let it flush through my system before I left. Luckily, I was able to get through the project without incident, but it was the last straw. I have to do something about this. Right now I am now looking up things that can cause this with a negative UTI test. Sooner or later I'm going to have to bring this up to my mother again and visit a doctor again, which I really, really don't want to do, so I end up stalling on it, causing myself to suffer while I do so.
Ughghgh I get this thing where I like don't...pee out all my pee so I sometimes have to go to the bathroom like 3 times in a row or else I just have that "I need to pee" feeling (not really burning but just...that annoying pressure,) until it like all comes out or something and it SUCKS SO BAD UAUGAUGH it's so embarassing at school and friends' houses :< Not the same but I understand the uncomfortableness in knowing you won't have access to a bathroom for a while and you get that
feeling.
I've only *almost* had a UTI and I beat it off with a crapton of vitamin C and water, but I had at least a day of the symptoms and uguguh it was awful. I hope you find out what's causing it. Shit sucks so bad.
