Loli, I guess a way to help is imagine the regularly-capitalized parts being said by someone that sounds like, say, Adrien from The Watchmen (movie). Now imagine the WAKE UP parts coming from a voice in the very corner of your mind, screaming in desperation for you to get back to reality.

And yes, it's more creepy than terrifying(and it's possibly tragic, depending how you look at it,).
