My school recently tested me and it turns out, I have autism. If I'm being honest, this does explain a LOT of things. So, I am going to be taking a social skills class every Thursday for the next 16 weeks.

I can relate to that. I've been working on various comic projects for a long time. Best of luck.

I was working on a comic about monsters for a long time but I think the fact I hardly play videogames anymore has dulled my interest in that (I am really not interested in Pokemon at all nowadays). I have a new comic project that I'm more interested in but my day job generally interferes with my ability to focus. That's just an excuse really. I need to get on with doing some set design. I'm good with character design (and vehicle design) but less comfortable with set design. It's kinda daunting.

Just keeping up the motivation to stick with one project long-term is a task in and of itself.

Maybe I've just needed to find something I really care about, though. Deep.

its the fear of stopping / growing bored of what youve started and "letting people down"

when you think about your projects and keep them contained inside your own head it doesnt evolve, so every time you think about it is like rereading the very hungry caterpillar. eventually you get bored of rereading the very hungry caterpillar and move on to something else to keep rereading until you get bored of it.

you have to actually start writing it. it is its own living, evolving thing and if you dont actually make it then youll just bore yourself cause you'll keep thinking of the same shit over and over again.

Man its been years since I've been here and I really doubt there's many people I remember left, and less likely to be anybody who remembers me so this won't exactly matter but turns out I'm trans now. Which makes sense if I think back but it took so long for me to think of it as a thing I could do and not just other people could do.

Lots of older members have turned out to be gay and/or trans, I'm glad everyone's been able to find themselves o/

For some reason I thought that i63 was an American convention. I've forgotten most of your nationalities.

I looked into it - and ha. I was in the exact same location just a week prior to Chloemew - just for a completely different convention.

Birmingham is cool but everything there is WAY too huge

Also around the New Street area there's some big ad screens which are fine during the day but at night time they are WAY TOO BRIGHT, they were bodaciously lighting up the whole street
