The hazards and dangers of the world are nothing compared to the damage I do to myself on a regular basis.

I thought I would pretend to be prepared when I left for work this morning (by the way, Irma died off super quickly coming up the coast and the weather around here has been, at worst, a bit gloomy) so I unplugged the power strip to which my computer is attached in case of lightning. What my dumb booty forgot was that the mini-fridge was plugged into the same strip, so even though the whole region around here did not experience any flooding, a square foot of my bedroom did when the freezer tray defrosted and leaked out of the fridge. Thankfully the power strip was elevated and I don't keep perishables in this fridge, so the consequences are mostly just being annoyed at myself for being so goddamn stupid.

The weather here is absolutely pleasant, actually. Temperature dropped like 15 degrees and the wind has been very refreshing. Reminds me of a place that isn't Florida.

I was gone for nearly a year once and the only attempt to contact me was a friend request from Great Handsome Oppressor on Steam that I declined because I was too ashamed of the posts I had made before I left.

Most people on here are gone from time to time.
