What's the protocol for asking for a scenario regarding specific evidence?

"I want to know if it could put a person to sleep--and how it can be taken." Whitney was starting to look frustrated. "Does it have to be ingested? Injected? Inhaled?"

"The Tom Nook File says that the medicine is topical, meaning that the route of administration is through the skin."

"I'd say that proves more than anything that the medicine could very well have been used to knock Whitney out. She would have noticed someone rubbing something on her skin, which means it had to have been ingested orally for her not to notice, the way it isn't supposed to be ingested."

"But I don't think Punchy was even near me that day..." The wolf was starting to look even more doubtful--and fearful. "...Isabelle, do you still have that feather you found?" she asked hesitantly. "I would like to see it."

"The feather? What about it, hawkeye?"

"A feather, huh? Where did you find it?" Punchy said as he eyed the villagers suspiciously.

"So it's topical? So it's nearly impossible for her not to notice, most likely. And the red herrings could be a red herring in itself, for she could have reversed psychology and faked evidence with her own shovel to try and get people confused."

Time to clear up something about the medicine. It is both ingestible AND topical. When used topically, it cures bee stings and bites. When ingested it's a powerful drug that knocks you out and heals your illnesses like colds. If Whitney had it applied topically, all it'd do is clear up her skin/fur. Probably didn't word it right earlier.

Scenario 2

"Punchy bought a bottle of medicine yesterday. Sometime later, he claims to have used the bottle of medicine on himself, putting the empty bottle in the closet."

"Tom Nook placed at least one new bottle in the closet, whereupon Punchy was capable of using either the original bottle or a second bottle to drug Whitney."

"Ultimately, one bottle was unused, and was the only item located in the closet when investigated."

"This is pretty weird..."



"Oh, right, the feather! I put it over on the desk there. Tom, could you hand it over."

"No, I don't think I will." he says with a sinister smile.

"Wh-What?" Isabelle says.

"This is what you bastards refer to as "definitive proof" and the mayor doesn't want you to have it yet. You'll have to figure some things out before I'm willing to show you this feather."

"You can ask Isabelle for testimony about the feather... but perhaps her memory is a bit... fuzzy... upupu~"

"Tom... what are you up to?"
