I've never tried eating them with chips. I do eat them weirdly though. I try and chip off the sugar shell of it and then eat the chocolate.

Cadbury is mostly around during Easter, and people will stockpile on Cadbury eggs. I think you might be able to find them in import shops, or maybe really large candy stores, but I have not noticed.
