I had it with ginger soda (which is super delicious) in a drink called Dark n' Stormy. An old boss of mine recommended it when I was heading to Bermuda.

The soda part was good, rum part yuck.



Makes sense. I'm not the type that's willing to lose control of myself to the point of losing reason and not remembering the night before. So I'm not really into the whole thing of taking shots for the sake of getting drunk faster.

Only if I'm like, with people I trust with my life. At home. Safe in locked rooms.

Not wanting to get shitfaced is perfectly okay. It's not something I ever want to experience. I don't see the point in it. I won't criticize anyone for enjoying pushing themselves past their limit, because different strokes, but it is not for me. I'd much rather get tipsy and enjoy myself in the company of friends (and strangers) and remember having a good time.

I had hot sake at a Japanese restaurant earlier tonight and it was quite enjoyable.

That's actually one of the reasons I avoid alcohol and don't do drugs. The thought of losing conscious control of myself is not something I want to experience.

Parents do drink though. My mom's favorite, sticking with the vodka thread, is vanilla vodka in Coke. The Coke dilutes the alcohol and the vanilla creates the obvious Vanilla Coke.

Limoncello is one of the tastier hard liquors in my opinion, even cheaper one since it's kind of sweet. I do like but it needs to be very cooled. I like my vodka with orange juice, but I can drink it straight from the bottle if I have to. Protip: especially if you mix it, don't waste cheddar on expensive brands like Eristoff, just buy the cheapest bottle, it all tastes disgusting anyway.
Any of you ever tried Goldstrike? Strong cinnamon flavoured liquor with gold flakes in it, comes with it's own ritual where you have to suck the vapourised alcohol out of the glass after you shot it. Pretty fun and you get shitfaced fast.

I only had a quick taste of sake once when my brother and I sneaked it fro my Dad's cup.

I could try it with different flavors and see if that does any good for me. I'm ALMOST 21 so oh boy the shops better prepare themselves because I want to try everything

has anyone here ever tried Bailey's? It's quite the Christmas drink here so I tried some and it was really chocolately but also tasted quite alcoholic. I don't think I could have much of it.

My dad has an unopened irish cream Bailey's that I plan on trying once he opens it.

Also I quite liked Jägermeister + coke when I had it. Should try making it myself sometime.

right because no one drinks until they're 18 (i can't believe the alcohol age in america is 21, surely people get alcohol before that though?)

i've tried jagermeister and redbull before and that was nice (i don't know if it's called a jagerbomb then or whether you have to pour it specially for that.) Otherwise my favourite alcoholic drink that won't make me get too drunk too quickly is Pear Cider because it's quite sweet compared to beer.

I highly doubt that the majority of our populace cares about that law.

Ask anyone if they drank during their teen years and I can bet you unless they are raised guru catholic roman strict religious virgins and were beaten with rulers for little things, they probably tried it at least once.

Me and my group actually did a short presentation on teenage drinking last week because it's a pretty big problem here. I had less than a decilitre of alcohol before I turned 18 even though there was nothing preventing me.

I never drank before turning 18.

After that though, HOO BOY.

And I'm honestly just a beer guy. Mixed drinks are alright, but I find it hard to trust the jungle juice at most college parties. You have no idea what goes into most of that shit.
