I'm kinda rustled by his nuclear agenda. To get Nevada on board with the shit tons of cheddar spent he wiped the only stable long-term nuclear storage area in the US we know of that's far far away from any population centers.
Then introduced motions to cut the people containing the HIGHLY TOXIC NUCLEAR FUCKING WASTE funding to the bone. Herpaderp.
That's one thing Bush got right, he fucking understood, "Hey, it's bad to let nuclear waste pile up in population centers where our current temporary stockpiles are. Why haven't we done anything about Yucca mountain since the 80's? Get on that shit."
I'm glad I live in Canada though, where we're passing a new law to make the people in parliament to stop being bitches to each other and giving them more time to goddamn talk about things than basics and insults.
The inherent problem with your complaint is that the Yucca Mountain nuclear waste storage facility is empty because of the Nevada state government preventing the shipment of the depleted uranium. It's been sitting there, unused, for over 20 years. I would know this. I live three miles from a nuclear power plant whose waste storage has been over capacity for the better part of two decades, and my dad used to work as a security guard there. They're running out of places to cram it.
Yes, we need it. However, we also don't need to be wasting cheddar on a federal facility that can't be used because of bullshit environmental concerns. The thing is surrounded by more concrete and dense rock than the Empire State Building.
No gamma radiation could possibly escape from it.
