The worst part is how they still haven't stopped the thing. No backup plan for something like this to happen.

Seriously, who's brilliant idea was it to put a freaking oil rig UNDERWATER?

Because oil is underground. All oil rigs drill underground.

There's actually a lot of oil located underwater, surface drilling can be just as dangerous.

Oh god, so much rage.

But hey, it looks like they're working as hard as they can on fixing it.

Its still leaking

I mean, we can send people to the moon, we can teleport (atoms), we sucker punch nature each and every day with what we have accomplished, yet we cant fix a leaky pipe.

Shall I do the honor of calling Mario?

I've been raging about this too.

They're pulling the oil out of the water, more than likely to sell it. They could plug it, I'm sure, but they 'd never be able to use it again, and who cares if they destroy the economy and ecology of an entire chunk of America? They don't live there, no skin off their backs.

The only thing I could see them do is contain it. Unless there is an underwater-use welder that won't ignite the oil there they can't repair. They certainly can't remove the pip and bolt in a new one, that'll just make things a hundred times worse.

Yeah, it's a bit late.

Listen bros, this really sucks. The sea life is being killed. The Gulf is un-swimable. Tuxedo Mask says he could see it from a plane when he was headed to Orlando. I'll be able to see it soon.
Before I returned home, my friends who stayed local told me they could SMELL the oil in the air. The places here are not serving oysters. Crawfish prices suck.

I have a bunch of friends who say this was planned by the government to make it seem off coast drilling is dumb. But I'm not going to bring out that theory here

tl;dr THIS SUCKS A LOT BROS

EDIT: I also wonder why no one complains about Obama taking breaks when they all whined when Bush did for Katrina. But again, I'm just saying

What many dont seem to realize is that the oil spill is going to be felt worldwide. According to my science teacher, it will use different water currents, such as the Gulf Stream, to travel quickly and across all of the coasts of nearly all of the continents (southern South America and Antarctica are safe). Within two years, it will arrive at its final destination, Hawaii. By then it will have traveled and spread across North America, Europe, Asia, South America, Africa, and Australia.

Could this be the solution?
