So you guys know what Larping is right? Live-Action-Role-Playing (just for you guys who don't know).

So anyway, when I was in elementary school, like up to six grade, I remember we played a game called "Adventure"

My friends and I would get together and pretend that video games were the real deal and we would Larp. Of course, being kids, we didn't know what Larping was and that it was super-nerdy/geeky/scrubby thing to do.

Some of the games we played were Pokemon, The Legend of Zelda, Yu-gi-oh!, Harry Potter, and Dragonball Z.

I especially liked playing Pokemon and Zelda and I would usually be Link. I even had a couple of plastic swords from past Halloween costumes (and a wand) In the Pokemon adventures we made up the trainers and when we got into battles we would pretend to be the pokemon.

We usually focused on the stories, the adventures, and battling. When I was in six grade though they started focusing on wooden sticks and leveling up instead of just the fun adventures with interesting bad guys and stories. That made it not fun because all that mattered was hitting a tree trunk enough times to become a "master."

We eventually stopped 'cause we realized how kiddy it was.

So, I was curious, did any of you guys LARP when you were little? What kind of adventures did you guys go through? Do you still LARP?
Or what other kind of games did you play when you were little?

I didnt understand a word you just said.

I didnt have friends, so this was more or less out of the question for me.

though I think that once I went to a nearby alley and tried to get my brother to play yugioh with me. like, battle city. standing around the street and dueling. he didnt have a duel disk however (while I did. wonder why I had no friends.) so we kinda just sat there. not nearly as fun(ny.)

This was a very big thing in my neighborhood back when I was 4.

We did a lot of pokemon, ssbm, and other such popular tv shows and vidya gaems.

Me and my sisters used to pretend we were Sailor Scouts. We always fought over who got to be who, so I eventually came up with my own character "Sailor Star." My first OC. I wasn't a very creative child.

Guilty.

Most of the time the kids on my block and I would battle Pokemon with those little plastic figures that came out of the miniature "real-life!" pokeballs, but sometimes we played Star Wars (forget the story, it was all about the light sabers) and once or twice we played with Zelda in mind.

^ lol that's cool ^

I just remembered something. Before I moved to the U.S. from Colombia I used to pretend with my cousins and brothers that we were power rangers.

I would always be blue power ranger, my brother would always be red.
Eventually I realized I liked Red more and I forced my brother to give up his title of red power ranger (I was older and he would get upset every time I stole the title from him).

Now I like the color green more...was there a green power ranger?

We had a full item purchase system worked out for zoids.

And we had a digimon thing going at one point.

We were the kids who oozed imagination.

my friend and I used to play with duel disks too XP

I hated him when we played yu-gi-oh since he would always win. Everytime I would get close to winning though he would immediately give up.
