Q: What the hell is Mafia?
A: Mafia is a game that can be played in a group or online in which a group of townsfolk (the good guys) try to discover and root out the Mafia and any other threats that may be hiding amongst them.

Q: How is Mafia played?
A: A game of Mafia alternates between day and night cycles. During the day the town (along with the Mafia pretending to be townspeople) vote by majority to lynch someone, hoping to kill the Mafia members in this fashion. During the night discussion is halted and the Mafia choose someone to kill. After this the next day begins and the game continues until either the Mafia have control of the town or the townspeople have killed every Mafia member. Also, please note that mafia games can last for a bit. It is not advised to sign up for this game unless you are willing to stick around for about three weeks or so and post at least once a day.

This is a Choose your Role game, meaning you'll PM me your two preferred characters (not roles) and I'll assign gameplay mechanics.

Unfortunately I think I'd be considered a mafia veteran at this point so I won't join your game unless you need people.

In the meantime I might wait until NEXT week to put my game up so this game has a chance to get somewhere. I don't really like the idea of two mafia games running simultaneously.

Despite the fact that this would be my fourth game, I'm going to put my name out there anyway. If this goes like every other game, not even including the veterans will be as many people as you probably hope will join.

Also what exactly do you mean "pick your own role"? Are you talking we give you our two favorite classic mafia roles (like doctor and hooker) and you pick from the two, or, since it's politically based, we pick two political types (like Kim Jung Un and Winston Churchill)?
