Since I only know Phoenix Wright, I'm gonna go for that one.

Okay, first off. I'm really not a big fan of songfics, and, iirc, they're against the TOS. They don't really add anything to the story, so I think you'd be better off without them.

I haven't played PW for a while, but Phoenix didn't seem that IC to me. I wish I could give more pointers than that, but I don't really know how to make him IC. I did like the parts of him sorta, messing up, because that's very... Phoenix-esque. The art part was interesting, I could see it working for him. I liked the ambiguous ending an awful lot, but I've always been a fan of those.

and now i'm too tired to be coherent bleh

That's crossoverfiction.

Which can be okay if done right (say, Megaman/Kirby crossover, I mean, they're fairly similar).

I don't like going through the trouble of it though. A lot of those plotlines could go in my comics easily with a bit of character conversion.
