Been there, done that. All I used was the default tor firefox. You know, Vidalia and stuff. Found mostly... that thing people go to jail for SHARING, not for looking. Some worse shit. Some even more fucked up stuff. Some not so fucked up stuff. Also, I remember I copy'd the HiddenWiki to a file so I could access any of the link without passing by the hiddenwiki. And I didn't use any protection. Nothing happened. And there's nothing the gov'n'ment can do about it.

2. The only way they could actually trace you, would be if you'd cookies enabled, javascript enabled, and uploaded something to those sites.



Have fun safely exploring the Internet's digestive system. I was even on Windows and nothing happened.


What do I recommend? Latest Ubuntu and safest software you can get.

I don't encourage it in any way. And not everything in there's illegal. There's some nice and clean stuff too. I just shared my experience.

Yes, lets put this out right now. I'd rather everyone DIDN'T share how they can safely or easily explore Deep Web. Its not for the feeble and, while fascinating, can also be rather dangerous. If you are the kind of person who would normally surf there then probably best you don't talk about it. If you are the type who doesn't understand how to use it or have to ask how to protect yourself its best you just stop there.

Its for YOUR protection that I am saying this. If you know how fine, great have fun with it (or whatever) but otherwise don't go walking into the south bronx if you don't have a weapon.
