How did you pull that off?
The mask is actually a t-shirt of my little brother's that I put some acrylic paint on and folded it. I bought a scarf from Wal-Mart (the employees made fun of me), borrowed a fedora from my older brother (lucky for me, he was just in the high school production of Guys and Dolls), and borrowed a trench coat from my grandfather. The rest of the stuff were just things that I had lying around.

That coat is awesome.

Quite. It smells like moth balls, though.

I even had a perfect mask planned out.

That's stupid.
I think my school has that rule, too. They should just check your ID upon entry so you can put your mask on when you get inside.

Nah, that's too simple. Rules were made to make no sense in my school.

to MORGANMAN: You didn't get in trouble for the mask? and the trenchcoat? and the scarf?

Wearing that to my school would've gotten you kicked out or worse, in trouble with the state troopers if they were on the premises.

And the stupid thing is? We're a small-town (not even a town) high school with a population of less than 500.

When I was in elementary school there was a dance I remember that could be summed in in three words.

"Do the Mario".

The Super Mario Bros. Super Show and the Legend of Zelda cartoons were a lot more well-known that it ended up being the theme to a 2-hour dance that was supposed to be a class period. The only music I remember hearing was the 8-bit music from Super Mario Bros. and Legend of Zelda, as well as "Do the Mario" from the show, but that's only because someone had the decency to record it all on cassette tape.

I miss my childhood.

To Game Angel: Nope. Philip, one of my friends, recognized me when I steeped through the door. Some of my hair was poking out from behind the mask.

Last year we had a Disney/Fairytale theme for one dance. I went as a soldier from Toy Story, with feet connected and everything.

Another dance we had Around the World. I was the only hobo there.

There was like, one dance last year that us little sixth graders were allowed to go to, and I would have gone only to mooch off the food and laze around. That's basically what my friends did, but I had better things to not do.

God strike me down if I ever feel the urge to go to a dance and actually dance.

My school seems pretty easy-going when it comes to Halloween costumes now. They let tons of kids wear full face masks, and my friend Robert has pretty much brought things that could be considered weapons as parts of his costumes for the past three years.

This year he had a hammer and a 4 x 4. He was a murderous carpenter. The year before he had a homemade crossbow, which could be loaded, but he didn't bring arrows. They still let him keep it even though he could load pencils into it and probably kill someone. :awesome:

Thanks for the awesome ideas, Star, I'll be sure to build my own pencil-launching crossbow in no time.

No, partly because I'm horrible at stuff like at that, and partly because I'm too lazy. But you can build pencil launchers and stuff like that out of a rubber band and a paper clip. LIKE MACGYVER!
