I just flipped to the Sci-Fi channel and I've been watching this weird anime with weird mechs with huge heads and weird stuff.

I've been told it is Gurren Lagann, that thing you guys have been talking about.

What the chell is going on?

Edit:
WHERE'S ALL THIS WATER COMING FROM!
IT LOOK LIKE SOMETHING'S COMING!

If it's in English, I strongly advise switching channels.

This way, you might end up as those guys who hate Naruto because they saw it on TV. You don't want to do that to Gurren Lagann.

Eh... I'll be perfectly honest with you, I don't think Naruto isn't that much better in Japanese. Viz didn't really 'butcher' Naruto, as much as fans would say otherwise; they may have painted over blood a few times and stuff, but nothing THAT significant to the story. So if you think Naruto has stale characters and a really dumb story, then it won't make a difference if you watch it in English or Japanese.

And the lame voice acting? It's only because we have higher standards for English because we actually understand the language. Why do you think Square Enix packaged Final Fantasy X with English voice acting? To torture the Japanese? Nope. It's because they're like us and, for the most part, they can't really tell the difference.

...though to be honest, in this case the Japanese voice acting probably WAS better. The English voice acting was abyssmal.

tl;dr version:

Naruto sucks dick.

Gurren Lagann kicks booty.

No one has answered Merlin's actual question yet, and I can't step in because I've only watched a little bit of it.

Baby, if you were, I'd search you all night instead of doing work.
