These truly are the end times.

I saw this trailer when I went to see Prince Caspian last night. I almost cried when people around me expressed positive feelings towards it.

A girl in the row in front of me made her boyfriend promise to go see it with her. He held out valiantly until she pulled the "no sex" card. Later on, after the movie, I spied her going into the bathroom, so I stuck a broom through the door handle. That was a dirty, evil thing she did.

Anyways, you may now curse at me for showing you that trailer.

i have to say, after that golden compass thing, i have lost all respect for these movies...i mean really, you can't replace blood with gold sparkely dust...

I agree, the Golden Compass was a major dissapointment. The begining was way to rushed, leaving out so many important elements, making the whole thing seem so arbitrary, as opposed to how natural all the events felt in the book. I only really got any good after Lyra met Iorek, but even then they left out some stuff and re-arranged some events, but I don't mind that part too much.

I just hope they keep true to the story for the second one, because not only was it a great book in itself and has potential to be a great movie aswell, but it also has the potential to be a horrible film if done incorrectly...then again, which film isn't?

Either way I hope they do it better.

Judging by the way this trailer starts out, I'm guessing that it's all an extended metaphor for Mexican immigrants infiltrating Los Angeles and furthermore, Hollywood in order to undermine the white man as revenge for the Spanish (people in Spain are white, donchaknow) colonizing and killing the Aztecs.
