Addendum: I have just formed a crude paper mache using shop towels and spray flex seal. Hopefully this fixes my waterproofing issue with my dip tub. This is both exciting and frustrating and I love it

I'm making really good progress at learning piano, and it makes me pop flyin' that I finally have a hobby that I'm fully committed to. Been taking lessons since the start of September and I recently played this song at a recital.

I got a new pair of shoes that I'm starting to finally get used to. I've been wearing my previous two pair for about 3 years now, I think, so any other ones are of course going to feel weird. But now they're finally at a decent comfort level, and will only feel better with time.

After 20 years of playing various pokemon games I finally encountered my first natural shiny. I've bred a couple and chained for one in x/y but that's easy mode

It was a Zubat. It was Crystal version. I named it Zooby

I feel like a little part of me is finally complete.

Fuck yeah, this piece was one of the more memorable ones from theory analysis classes.

I started working out 2 1/2 months ago and I'm already seeing some pretty good results. When I first started, my max bench/squat/deadlift were 95/145/125, and now they are 160/225/250. It's almost unreal how quickly I'm improving (though a lot of the increase was from improving my form) and I feel fucking great. On top of that, I'm still practicing piano (currently working on this Studio Ghibli piece). Also, I applied for a promotion at work that I feel I have a decent shot at, and even if I don't get it, I'll be finishing school in December so I'll hopefully move into a programming job sometime next year anyway. Life is ok right now.
