I didn't even know there is another color scheme for it.

I fixed the blue, straightened out the detail lines. I should have used a marker for those to begin with but I've got this cool tiny detail brush that I wanted to try out. Turns out my hands aren't steady enough and the detail brush not detaily enough.

Anyway, I'm having more problems with this one. On some parts the paint just won't properly stick on. The yellow and green (i.e. the two prominent goddamn colors of the thing) just won't hold the paint. The dark blue for the chest and the grey for the metal parts holds it no problem with one coat, I needed like 3-4 for the yellow and it looks like the green needs just as much. Are they made out of different material or what? It just kinda seeps into the plastic at first. I'm gonna try some primer spray, but the primer paint for using with a brush didn't hold either.

Primer spray works, but the paint still needs multiple coats, so I guess it's because of the paint.

I miss being able to just use spray paint for my kits, but nooo, I had to go ahead and get model kits in "cool" colors where I can't get spray paints for and have to mix liquid paints and use a brush.
Still fun though.

Alright, everything's painted properly. Now I only have to put everything together and hide the seams under even more paint. Then do the details, better this time hopefully. The shop where I got my paints gave me a few warhammer figures to practice small stuff on.

Wings/weapons of mass destruction holders are done, just need to touch up the details, again. I'll get better I swear. Next up are the shoulders.

What I always liked about gundams was that they look like super rad and fancy knight armor if you have them disassembled.

Rest of the seams and detail stuff tomorrow, I don't dare try mix paints anymore when I got my lights on.

Also I saw they rereleased the Hyaku Shiki. I want it. But it's 50 bucks.

Now I only wait until my new marker for the panel lines arrives.
I also ordered a stand because the awesomeness of Palace Athene isn't done justice with a standing pose.
